I filled in my ESA50 nine months ago and am going for my WCA this Friday. Nine months ago my illness was at WRAG level. In February my condition got a lot worse and I now need to get into the Support Group. I have a good GP's letter about my current condition which I will take to the WCA. What else can I do to prevent the examiner from being too influenced by the ESA50?
The GP's letter doesn't specifically mention the descriptors which should get me into the Support Group and I am concerned the examiner won't stop and think. I don't communicate well and won't say much at the WCA. My sister is helping me write this post. She can't accompany me to the WCA - nobody can - but she could write a letter for me to take along.
Is there anybody else that can go with you to the medical?
I think it is a good idea for your sister to write the letter you refer to, ask her to also explain why she is writing it, e.g. that you have difficulties conversing with people
It would be worth you sending a copy of your GPs and your sister letters, direct to the DWP for the attention of the Decision Maker.
Good luck with the medical
