I am wondering about this because in reality i should claim for me but don't because my hubby and daughter and grandson get dla all at diff levels and i just don't want to as if i do i have to admit how ill i really am.

DLA is a not a means tested benefit and can only be claimed as an individual, so the fact that others in your household claim DLA should have no impact on you doing so yourself.

I personally have no idea, you need to ask the DWP office dealing with your benefit(s) as we cannot provide replies to individual queries.

All claims are cross-referred if there are other claimants in the same household who are in receipt of social security benefits. This is primarily a procedure to ensure the correct award has been made, and the correct rate of benefit is in payment for each claimant.
