Atos confirm WCA to be recorded if requested was created by Jostewart
Hi All
my WCA was cancelled this morning at the very last minute when my husband phoned up to check that Atos had received the letter I sent them (downloaded from Benefits and Work website - thx) and they advised that as from 23rd July 2012 they have REVERSED the decision to go ahead with all assessments irrespective of claimants wishing to have them recorded and equipment being unavailable.
BUT...they are NOT publicising this....grrrrr
If you ask they will tell you - but at the moment NO Decision has been taken by Atos head office on how to communicate this to claimants!!!!
So if you want your assessment recorded you will need to phone up Atos who PROMISE they will now cancel any existing appointment that you currently have and ONLY issue you with a new date when recording equipment IS available.
This was confirmed to me by Jxxx Dxxxxx the Site Manager at Nottingham this morning
Hope it helps someone
best regards
Jo

That is interesting, thanks. Have you submited this as a news item?
(ps - To my fellow mods. Having accepeted this post, I am not sure whether it should have gone straight to the news section instead. Please feel free to deal with this if I have acted in error)

hi - yes I submitted this as a news item this morning but as it was my first news item I have no idea how long it takes for approval etc and I am conscious that other people like me may be facing vry tight deadlines for the WCA

Hi Jw,
Only Steve, the site owner can approve articles submitted to the "Benefit News" section.
I am sure that if he feels that it is of assistance to members, he will publish it ASAP.
I can see no harm in leaving this in the Forum, until then.
I will however lock the thread to stop it developing into a discussion.
Cheers
