medical worries was created by jude
I am worried about my medical as after 10 years I have been back & forth with medical specialists & therefore do not have a consultant that can give a clear diagnosis. I have asked for my medical letters & get different diagnoses each time. I have been advised I may have a particular condition, but it it is not conclusive.
After one IB medical I was found fit for work, but appealed & without going to a tribunal I remained with IB.
I do not frequent my GP hardly ever as he can not offer me anything. I get a repeat prescription by post. Even when I am in intense pain I do not call my GP.
With the ESA form I provided all the medical letters I had, but clearly this was not enough.
My question is at the medical will the doctor have all my reports or should I take them again. I have a booklet about the condition I may have, should I provide it? Also should I tell the doctor about my financial situation, as I want him/her to know there is no financial gains being on benefits.
My guess is my financial status is irrelevant however if they knew what I received they would know I have no reason to fein illness.
Thanks

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

The HCP carrying out your assessment should have read your ESA50, I don't know whether they have a duty to read anything else that you submitted as part of your claim (one of my fellow mods might be able to comment on this). I doubt that there wold be time for the HCP to read through anything that you take with you to your assessment.
You are right in thinking that your financial situation is irrelevant to any decision that will be made.

Jude
Section "3.1.2 Reading the documents" of the WCA Handbook states everything in the claimants file should be read prior to the assessment as must anything brought to the assessment by the claimant.
