Hi

I am in the process of filling my ESA50 form in, laboriously slowly it seems. As per the guides advice I have made an appointment to see my GP tomorrow to see if she is willing to write me a letter basically confirming all my health problems. I am unsure of how to phrase it as I don't know if the DWP will write to her as well or not.

I have found a consultant's letter from 2009 that confirms the diagnosis of several of my problems and I intend to send this off but since then I have had additional health problems, one of which was confirmed today after a blood test. Do you advise I list every problem past or present, I suppose I don't want to appear like a hyochondriac. I am finding this whole process so exhausting, mentally and physically. Thanks.

You should list every condition that affects your capacity to work. If that is a long list, so be it!

Any letter from your doctor will be most helpful if it relates directly to the ESA descriptors.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems
