APPEALING: HOW MANY POINTS? was created by Bill
I have been placed in the wrag and am currently going through the process of appealing this decision.

I wrote and asked for a written explanation of the decision and a statement of reasons for the decision, what I received back was a very poorly written letter containing about 15 paragraphs each starting with the words 'The available evidence'.

What I was expecting was an explanation of how many points I had been given for each activity and why.

There are many posts from members along the lines of 'I went from 0 to 15 points' how do they know what points they were originally awarded?

Should I have been given this information when I requested the explanation for the decision?

I have not had a medical or any face to face interviews.

You may be in receipt of the mythical Statement of Reasons, that many have asked for and so few, maybe just you, have actually received :)

To be serious, this should have detailed the points you scored, but failing this you can request your ESA85A medical report, which again shoud detail the points recommended by the ATOS "doctor".
