ESA Appeal

If this evidence was attached to your ESA50 then in principle it should have been returned with your file to the DWP, does evidence go missing, quite probably, but I think it is now quite rare.
If you do decide to re-submit your existing evidence, then I would suggest you think about putting together a covering letter, that directs the Decision Maker to those areas which you believe show where you meet the ESA descriptors.
There may be some value in sending an updated list of medecines that you take, with regard the Fit Note, these need to returned to your local DWP office, I would be careful not confuse the DWP as to where these need to go, as they can effect your benefit being paid.

I do want to emphasise to you, and other reading this thread, that these are Decisions that only you can make. all we can do on the forum is make your decision more informed. Please do not assume, because we don't say "brilliant idea, definitely do it", that it is not something you should do, only you know your case in depth, so only you can really make decisions that effect it.Ok thank you Gordon, i don,t want to confuse them even more, i also had an updated DLA indefinate award letter come after my assessment is it worth sending a copy of that too , i realise that the two benefits are different but wondered if it was worth sending anyway.

There are limited overlays between DLA and ESA, if these are applicable to your ESA claim then there could be advantage to sending details of your award, if nothing else it suggests a level of disability, and because it is indefinite, and expectation by the DWP (in relation to DLA), that you will not improve.

We do ask members to start new threads rather than jumping in on anothers, but unfortunately it does happen, and because of other changes we have made to the way the forum operates, we have lost the ability to split threads into two.I'm lost here ... i take it most of the replies are for Chrissy v... not sure what's in reply to CV's comments or mine, apart from Gordon who has quoted. Never mind i have plenty of time to work it out before my appeal.
