I understand that the first interview at Jobcentre Plus(WFI) is mandatory, what I want to know is this still the case if I have a sicknote from my GP to say that I cannot attend due to my conditions.
I would appreciate any advise, thank you.

Hello, I have been placed in the WRAG and sure that I should be in the Support Group of ESA.
I understand that the first interview at Jobcentre Plus(WFI) is mandatory, what I want to know is this still the case if I have a sicknote from my GP to say that I cannot attend due to my conditions.
I would appreciate any advise, thank you.
Hi N,
Have you appealled to be placed into the SG ?
With regards to attending WFI's WRA, they can be carried out over the phone, in your home, or they can even be deferred.
These three options are totally at the discretion of the JCP adviser, a MED Cert from your G.P. "should" help.
See :
Work Focussed Interviews
Work Programme
If you have appealed, see :
Do I have to attend WFIs while I appeal?
&
What will I be paid while I appeal?

Make sure that you contact the JCP adviser to inform him/her of you circumstances.
Don't just send your Med Cert in, and assume that the JCP adviser will be aware of this.

I am very nervous and anxious as I have read that you have to complete a CV. Thanks.

Hi again Bro, I was wondering what kind of questions will be asked at the WFI interview ?
I am very nervous and anxious as I have read that you have to complete a CV. Thanks.
Hi n,
Writing a CV may well be one of the actions that you will be asked to do.
"There is no specific definition of what constitutes Work Related Activity and therefore there is no specific agenda for a WFI, however, the following is a list of items a claimant should expect to be asked to do;
•Assessing the claimants prospects for existing or future employment, (whether paid or voluntary)
•Assisting or encouraging the claimants to improve their prospects of such employment.
•Identifying activities which the claimant may undertake to strengthen their existing or future prospects for employment.
•Identifying current or future employment or training opportunities suitable to that person's needs.
•Identifying educational opportunities connected with the existing or future employment prospects or needs of the claimant."
Have you contacted the JCP Adviser to see whether they are willing to defer the WFI's or carry them out over the phone or in your home ?
If not, it may well be worthwhile doing so.
