but during the medical examination i had a forcefull manipulation done by this doctor.
it left me in pain, i thought they could not manipulate any parts during this examination.
ive searched on the GMC website and can not get any details of them listed.
thanks,

I think this is a bit of grey area, the ATOS "doctor" is entitled to examine some basic functions such as your joints, so I do not think they have exceeded their remit by examining you, but you are correct that anything that causes you pain should be stopped, so the question is, did you expect that this manipulation would cause you pain and did you ask the "doctor" not to proceed? If this is the case then you would have cause to complain.hi, dont know whether to take this further or not.

If you did not anticipate the pain, but asked the "doctor" to stop when it occurred and they did not, then again this may be reason to complain.
However, if you did not anticipate the pain and the "doctor" stopped as soon as it occurred then I do not believe you would have good cause.
Other factors would be if this action was repeated or there was an excessive period before the manipulation was stopped.
I'm afraid I cannot comment on how successfuly a complaint on this basis would be.
