I filled in my form for migrating from IB to ESA and thought, with the advice from this site I had scored over 15 points and would therefore go straight onto ESA without an ATOS assessment. How wrong I was, my date for my assessment has come though even though I am worse now than I was when I first went on IB. I am under no illusions that I will be found fit (A1) and ready for all forms of work, even with a bellyful of tablets. I'm not surprised really as a friend of mine who I thought would cruise through all the ATOS assessments due to his awful condition has lost his benefits and now is waiting for the DWP disablement jobs worth to contact him and ease him into a job. Not that he will be able to work, he is still so ill no matter what ATOS say, so it looks like he will have a life of hell. My time is coming; the sword of Damocles is swinging. Here’s to life in hell hole Britain, where giving up your health and body for your country counts for nowt.
Hi R,
You may wish to read : ESA Medical – What to expect in preparation of your face to face assessment.
It may help also if you have a read of :DWP Resources
WCA Handbook July 2012, which is the 7th link down this page :
ESA Guides
Be aware that, you will be asked questions on how you travelled to the assessment, and observations will be made by the ATOS HCP, and assumptions will be made as a result of these observations.
Good luck, and let us know how you get on.
