Esa reviews, timing of form being sent

Hi,

If you got a prognosis of 2 years when you were granted esa can you tell me when you would get your next form to fill in?

Would it be

a) 2 years since you got your last esa50 form through

or

b) 2 years from the date of when the original decision was made

Since there can be quite a gap between when you first got your form and when the decision was actually made.

Hi dn,

I would expect a claimant to receive a new ESA50 on re-assessment 2 to 3 months before their current ESA award comes to an end.

e.g. If a claimant was awarded ESA for 2 years from November 2012, then their award would last until November 2014, therefore I would expect the new ESA50 to arrive around August/September 2014.

This is to allow the 4 weeks to fill in and return the ESA50, and to arrange the face to face, if needed, then the return of the file to the DWP, etc etc.

As things stand though, you cannot take anything for granted, so don't hold me to this.
