Yes, you are entitled to have a companion with you during the assessment, this is covered in section 3.1.2. of the WCA Handbook, which defines how the ATOS "doctor" should carry out the assessment.Hi

Your sister will be allowed to attend the medical with you.
As you don't state which benefit the medical is for, then see Help for Claimants
This is for DLA - A guide to questions you’ll be asked at your medical. There’s also detailed information about what happens at medicals in the claims guides above.
If it's not for DLA, then please reply to my post and if it'd for ESA, one of my fellow moderators
may be able to assist as I don't deal with ESA.
Good luck.
Jim

Hi
It is for Incapacity to ESA Allowance hopefully "Support Group"
I wrote loads in the form, put in doctor hospital notes, and just get the feeling they have not read it all.
This morning the Appointment letter arrived. It states on the letter "if you want more information about why you need assessment please contact DWP".
I will not do that as I have great difficulty mental health issues with people, social anxiety cannot talk. All this is making me extremely ill.
