I requested a Statement of Reasons,ESA85A and LT54 on 18th. September and obtained proof of posting. I followed this up with a call on 4th. October.To date,I haven't had a reply. How long does it normally take for the DWP to send a reply?

As any written request for personal information, should be classed as a formal request, it is covered by The Data Protection Act 1998.

Therefore, the information requested should be supplied within 40 days, see :

Thanks for that advice. I rang the DWP at the end of last week, there was no record of my letter being received nor any note of my telephone call, but I was assured that the benefits section would be asked to action my request.
I received copies of the ESA85A and LT54 on Saturday, no covering letter and a hand addressed envelope,which seems a little odd.
The report states that I have "a significant level of disability" but also advises that a return to work "could be considered within 12 months" with a review suggested "in the medium term".
Does this mean, then, that I could be considered as fit to return to work after 12 months or anytime from now?
What timescale does "in the medium term" indicate?
Today, I received a letter from the local JCP+ telling me I have to attend a Personal Adviser Interview on the 21st. November (they don't hang about,do they?). Is this the same as a WFI?
Any comments gratefully received, as I'm now beginning to panic.

This is the "prognosis" and means that the ATOS HCP has recommended that you are reassessed 12 months after the date of the ESA WRAG award.

Therefore, you should expect to receive another ESA50 a few months before this 12 month period elapses.
