Hi, I'm new to this site & hoping someone can advise me.. I have a medical assessment on Tuesday 6th November & I have only just obtained medical evidence from my GP confirming my conditions which I will be taking with me to the assessment but should I also send copies to DWP? If so what address do I use and who to address it to?
Hi C,
Yes you should take copies of any fresh evidence that you have to your face to face assessment, and hand them to the ATOS HCP, before the assessment starts.
They are "supposed" to read and take into account any such evidence along with the ESA50.
To send copy to the ESA Decision Maker also, which may be prudent, you address it : FAO The ESA Decision Maker, at the address of the Benefits Office/Centre that you have on any letter regarding your ESA.
You could also post copy to ATOS at the address that you sent your ESA50 to.
Make sure you put yor Name, NI Number, and DOB on any seperate pages also.
See : Sending Documents to the DWP or ATOS
You may wish to read this FAQ in preparation for the assessment :

Every time I try and download the ESA appeals guide from this site it takes me to the page telling me to subscribe which of course I already have, hope you can help!!
However, I am aware that he is away at the moment, and it may be a few days before he can deal with your problem, so I'll assist as much as I can, but the Moderators do not have access to subscription information, so any help I can give may be limited.
First, have you logged in to B&W? In the top left of the page is a "logout" link, use this to log out of the system and then close your browser.
Restart your browser and navigate to B&W, in the top left of the page, there should now be a login link, select this and on the next page there should be a "userid" and "password" field at the top of the page, complete these using the information you registered with. If the information is correct, it will take you to the forum page, otherwise you will get an error on either the username or password field.
The guides are available from the "Members Only" link inthe orange section on the left of the page, then select the "Employment & Support claims and appeals" link on the next page. The current ESA guides are available as the 3rd and 4th links on the next page.
