I will check with my PIP contact at Warbreck House, Blackpool tomorrow and ask if such a directive exists, if so I'll post it tomorrow.

It's not a problem, but many members are quite alarmed about all of the changes being made and how they will effect them, so wherever possible we only try to publish information that can be confirmed, which is why we have so far only provided links to DWP documents.I think you could be right. I only wanted to draw what I had found to attention through your site in case anyone had heard anything more Don't care about myself anymore anyway (despite my own problems) for we are also carers for our son who has is disabled (for 35 years since he was 3) He has had 3 brain surgeries for brain tumours and in 2012 his carotid artery tore causing him a stroke and more disabilities. Now he is awaiting a scan - because of worsening visual problems - in case he has another tumour. Also he is in ESRF... Money is necessary when illness and disability strike but which one of us wouldn't just prefer good health? keep up the good work.
As soon as the final Regulations are published and the legislation enabling the transfer is published, we'll be able to make more information available.

Just about to leave home for a hospital appointment at 4.15pm, so don't expect to home until after 6.30 pm, so won't be online again today.
I will check with my PIP contact at Warbreck House, Blackpool tomorrow and ask if such a directive exists, if so I'll post it tomorrow.
I have managed to speak to one of my contacts at Blackpool, and he has assured me that no such directive exists. I'm aware that some members will form the opinion that you can't believe anything the DWP says and they're often right.
However, my contact is a Senior Decision Maker and one of the Team Leaders in the Right Payment Programme Team, who in fact will also be carrying out the first few thousand new claims for PIP from April 2013 in the areas stated below.
There is already up-to-date information PIP both in Spotlights area of the forum and also in the blue area of the forum homepage from which I quote :
The timetable for the introduction of personal independence payment (PIP), the benefit set to replace disability living allowance (DLA) has now been set out in detail in the DWP’s Frequently Asked Questions document.
From April 2013 a few thousands new PIP claims will be taken from people aged 16-64 in Merseyside, North West England, Cumbria, Cheshire and North East England. All other new claimants will continue to make claims for DLA. From
June 2013 all new claims from people aged 16-64 will be for PIP rather than DLA.
From October 2013 the DWP will begin reassessing all existing DLA claimants aged between 16-64. However, between October and December 2013 they intend to reassess just 30,000 existing DLA claimants to check that the systems work.
Full scale national reassessment will begin in January 2014.
The DWP say that all existing DLA claimants “will have been contacted about reassessment by March 2016”, suggesting that by that stage everyone will have received a letter warning them that they are to be reassessed but that not everyone will have completed the reassessment process.
The DWP IT system for DLA works using NINO's not DOB's so I'm assured it couldn't pick out claimants by DOB which in my opinion is a shame as some claimants now 63-64 years of age may be over 65 before they are contacted, so wouldn't be allowed to claim PIP, but would need to claim AA instead, although it's debatable whether this is fair until PIP comes into force and some case law established.
I'm tempted to do a FOI request, but as this is purely an internal operational matter, and not laid down in regulations, I'm pretty certain that I'd fail as both Steve and I have done in the past.
I think it's really a matter of 'wait and see' although I will contact Shawn Mach of Rightsnet,
and ask him to comment on the forum post as I used to be a professional member before I retired. However, I probably won't get a reply as it's common knowledge amongst members of the NAWRA & the SS Law PA that we don't see 'eye to eye'.
I cannot really add any further substantive comment.
