That's the point, though! There have been quite a few instances where it's not shown on the track and trace facility on Royal Mail's website, possibly due to the way in which it's sorted and redirected. So in such instances track and trace is not working, and causing more stress to the sender. The advantage is that you can track and trace it online, and can therefore prove that it was delivered to the address or P.O. Box number that you were given.

Hi st,
Although I can recall several members posting on here that the ESA50 was not showing up as delivered when it should have done, as far as I can remember, but stand to be corrected, no member has ever said that the ESA50, did not actually arrive at ATOS by the deadline given.
As I have said, it is a matter of choice.

Sent my ESA50 by recorded mail on Wednesday 14th November, it shows as delivered by track and trace today.
Now, as others have said, begins the wait. I have to say the stress this whole thing is generating is very tiring. To be sure, if I could be in a position to not have to rely on benefits to live, I would tell them to stick it where the sun don't shine.

You may as well send it normal mail, and just get proof of posting.
This an interesting thread on this subject:

Even that does not guarantee that it will reach the right person. Whilst it might be comforting to see it has arrived on the track and trace, there have still been instances where it has gone awol.the only way to guarantee next day delivery is by special delivery which guarantees delivery by 1pm
