I am sure that you are aware of this, but it is not the severity of your illness that will place you in the Support Group, but your meeting one or more of the SG descriptors.Yes i do im due a second medical shortly and to be honest im very anxious about it, however you have said that many have gone into the Support group after an ATOS medical , it was my understanding that very few if any got migrated into the support group no matter how ill they were.
The latest DWP statistics show that 26% of claimants are being placed in the Support Group. You mention that you are being migrated, and I don't believe these figures are included, but my understanding is that they would be slightly higher, if they were.

From rightsnet :
"64 per cent of reassessed incapacity benefits claimants entitled to employment and support allowance
New DWP figures also show that 25 per cent placed in support group and 39 per cent placed in work related activity group"
