DLA medical where is it done ???

Hi Forum
I have recently been informed that I would have a possible claim for DLA.
Having read the faq on dla I see that atos also do this part of the benefit system.
When you have a medical for DLA do you have it at your home or at the usual centre's they use ???
Do they take a look at your home environment inside & out to see what its like ?
Anyone had either home or medical centre experiance ?

DLA assessments are carried out mostly in the claimant's home. However some claimants do have to attend assessment centres.

Many thanks for the confirm info, is there nothing that atos dont do, wonder if they would do the gardening for me ?

I must admit it puts me off having someone in my home from that organisation.

Come on now Dq,

ATOS doing the gardening ? they would probably feed the weeds with Gro-bags, and put weedkiller on the lawn and the flowers.
