The case will be reconsidered by a different Decision Maker and only go to appeal if the decision goes against the claimant. My own recon took almost 6 months and eventually was expedited after another phone call from me to check what was happening.
Your friend should be notified of the recon result, then the appeal bundle will be sent if and when the case is passed to the Tribunal service.

(I didn't realise there was a duplicate post, my screen went all 'funny' and then said something like "you are not subscribed to the webpage"! Sorry if it caused anyone any problems).

The DWP have one month to submit your papers to the Tribunal Service from the date of the Reconsideration being completed, although it would normally take less than this.Yes was told over the phone 2wks ago that it had been reconsidered but unfortunately was going to full appeal.
Should I have received this in writing from DWP?
Thanks,
Gordon
Just bumping my thread again as still no appeal papers despite another 2wks passing. I make it well over 1mth now after the reconsideration.
would a quick call to DWP be adviseable just to check papers have been sent?

Hi G,
It certainly wouldn't do any harm to give them a ring for an update.
It may also be advisable to put something in writing to the same effect, and pop it in the post to create a paper trail.
Sending Documents to the DWP or ATOS

thanks bro58.
I was advised by Gordon a few weeks ago about a 1mth time limit after the reconsideration.
A friend of mine has received their form from the tribunal service this week, a few days after receiving the appeal pack from DWP.
