I posted my DLA form to DWP on wednesday, this afternoon recieved a call from the decision maker as had to discuss a couple of issues regarding paperwork being sent to me because of certain health issues I have and I was told that I would recieve a decision on my claim within two weeks. She also said they where using the evidence from my ESA medical even though this was done in January and was older than 6 months old. Basicially ESA report only mentions issues with mobilising and I am in the support group for ESA. I am in two minds about this phone call as from previous experience this either means I do not meet the criteria and is a straight no or they are happy with the info sent (the DM said sufficient medical evidence) and have made a decision. Also very surprised how quick this as been dealt with... Just wondered if anyone had any thoughts...

I would cautiously say that it is good news regarding any Mobility award, as the ESA test is stricter than the DLA one, however, there is no way to know what effect if any it will have on a Care award.

Recieved decision this morning high rate care and high rate mobility.... Could not believe it no medical and an answer within the week!
