Hi W,
In general if a benefit payment is due on a Bank Holiday, which this is, it is paid before that date of payment, which I would assume to be the 24/12/12.

On moneysaver someone has stated all benefits that are to be paid during the fest period will be paid on the 21st for those in Christmas week

I can assure members that any benefits due in the run up to Christmas will be paid before 25 December.
Both my wife and I are of state pension age, and we received our Winter Fuel Allowance before 1st December.

When I used to cash a cheque at the PO, money due in the few days before Christmas could be cashed a couple of days before it was due.
I don't know if they still give you the 2-3 days grace, but I'm sure money due on a bank holiday will be in your bank account on the day before that bank holiday.
