I am still on Income Support. When will I be contacted to re-assess?
Will the new law in December 2012 regarding work and various groups,
will apply to me?

Will UC start in April this year?

If UC goes ahead and I am still on IS, which group will I belong to?

I am at present in receipt of 18 hours per week of care,
on higher rates of DLA and still on Income Support.

Many thanks.

As far as I am aware, claimants receiving IS due to incapacity will still be transferred to Income Related ESA, the project is intended to complete by April 2014, there have been no statements as whether the project is still on schedule.

ESA(IR) claimants will at some stage be transferred onto UC, I'm not aware of any dates for this to be done, although one may have been published since I last checked (n.b. current dates do not distinguish between IS, ESA(IR), JSA(IR), etc. claimants).

UC will still have two levels of disability, which will be equivalent to the current WRAG and Support Group, it is important to note the Contribution Based ESA will not be moved to the UC, so the government needs to maintain parity be the two systems.
