frequency of esa50 questionaires! was created by blarm44
Hello everyone ,my name is andy and i've just joined this website.I wondered what other people feel about the frequency we are now having to fill out esa50 forms and attend assessments?I completed my last questionaire in july 2012 and had an assessment at atos in nottingham at the end of august 2012.I was placed on the esa wrag section of the benefit due to my ongoing depression and anxiety. On the 29th of december 2012 I was sent another esa50 form to fill out !Why so soon?Having to yet again jump through their hoops made me more anxious and have more darker thoughts.I feel like I am being bullied off what I am entitled to and just don't have the energy to keep fighting them.I have told my doctor that what I see as frequent harrassment has made my mental illness worse and he will inform them when they write to him after I have sent back the esa50 form.I have informed my mp but have not received a reply as yet.I feel utterly powerless and think they will push me on the JSA benefit whether I am fit or not.
Any advice or solutions to my problem would be greatly appreciated.
regards
andy

The whole ethos of the Welfare Reform Bill is that claimants will be subjected to regular reassessments. It seems that people in ESA can be reviewed anything between 3 months and 3 years. It certainly seems that yours is right at the lower end of this scale.
How often will I be reviewed
I need to warn you that DWP/ATOS are not obliged to contact your GP during the assessment/reassesment process and often do not do so, so your GP might not get the chance to give his view.
The only other thing we would suggest is contacting your MP - which you have already done.
