When the ESA form is sent off and one waits for the outcome, if the decision is made (with or without a medical) do they phone ? is it 'number witheld' and do they confine to office hrs
Also, if they want to callo for medical do they phone first or proceed straight to a letter ?

Hi XF,
Any of the above really.
Some members have been contacted by phone to inform them of a decision, however beware of misinformation : www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/forum?view=top...id=10&id=96660#97770
Some members have reported that they have simply received a phonecall from an 0845 number telling them that The DM has made a decision and it is in the post. (without any further detail)
It is quite common for ATOS to ring up a few times to try and make an appointment, before sending a written appointment out, if they can not speak to the claimant. (not sure what number they use though)
