Good evening everyone.
I feel that I should share my experiences with you all and perhaps allay some fears and worries, both of which I had felt prior to using the Benefits System and particularly ESA.
I completed my ESA50 form with the aid of this site and many re-written rough answers. With the ESA50 I enclosed a copy of an enquiry form that was requested by the DLA and completed by my MS nurse.
This was sent to ATOS by the required date. After a few weeks I telephoned ATOS to enquire how the process was going. A gentleman informed me that an assessment was not required t this stage and that my papers were returned to the DWP.
I waited for a while and contacted my BDO. I was informed, after several other attempts, that I had been placed in the Support Group with a prognosis of three years.
This was a new claim and not a migration from another benefit. I felt it would be beneficial to let other B &W users know that the system does work, albeit on occasions, it does work.
Thank you and good luck to you all with your applications.
