Hi I have received an old style claim form with a letter saying my IB is being changed to esa. After I calmed down I tried reading the great advice on this site. I thought I had everything sorted in my muddled mind when I think I read somewhere that the regulation (29) has been changed. I was hoping to claim exemption from the medical exam under this regulation. Ie that it would cause harm if the person was found fit or was put into wRaG. My condition appeared to satisfy the conditions pre 28.1.13 but could you possibly tell me what the new rules are from 28.1.13. (My old style claim form has to be returned by 7.2.13 )
Th exceptional circumstances regulations can be used to award someone ESA (WRAG or SG, depending on circumstances) who would not otherwise qualify, do not rely on it to free you from the need to attend a face-to-face assessment if requested to do so.
