Anyone got any JSA advice

My friend lost his ESA appeal today, so has to sign on for JSA. Can someone tell me how he does this - does he walk into JCP tomorrow or phone them up for an appointment or do it all on line or does he have to wait to get a letter saying his ESA has been stopped? Also i'm sure I read on another website (but can't find it now) that there are certain things you MUST sign in order to get your JSA but there are also certain things they try to pressure you to sign but you don't NEED to and you won't get santioned - does anyone know what I am referring to and if so can you tell me more about it please?

If your friends GP is still willing to provide Fit Notes, then in principle they can make a new application for ESA.
