About September last year she was told that she must go to the Jobcentre for an interview even though one of her problems is having panic attacks & she has to be taken by me. As I don't work Friday afternoons they were very good at accomodating her.
We went to two seperate interviews even though we were waiting for her appeal to be heard, we went just so the DWP couldn't have a go at us for not complying.
A third interview was made by them for my wife which is now this Friday, but alas her adviser did say that he would ring my wife at home for this instead of us having to travel about 15 miles each way, this we found out at the end of last week in a reminder letter.
You may wonder where I'm going with this little tale, but at in November last year, my wife was told that she had won her appeal & has been placed in to the support group without having to go to a tribunal.
Unfortunately after 3 months the Jobcentre sent the reminder letter out not knowing my wife had won her appeal !!
I rang the Jobcentre today to see if she still had to have an interview now she is in the support group, thankfully it was a mistake on their part & she doesn't have to go anymore.
Evidently as my wifes appointment was made before she won her appeal, the Jobcentre just carry on as normal
A little scare there for us, but all was well in the end.
So if anyone has the same problem as us, just ring the Jobcentre up.
