Does anyone know at what point I should ask for an Oral hearing as there was nothing on the GL24 form to ask for that? I sent in the form with covering letter should I have mentioned it on the letter. Am worried they won't realise if it goes to appeal that we want an oral one?

Hi B,
You can inform them now that you want an oral hearing.
However, you will be asked this question at a later stage, if the decision is not changed in your favour at the automatic reconsideration stage, and your appeal is sent forward to The Appeals Tribunal Service.
See this extract from page 11. of The GL24 :
"The enquiry form asks how you want your appeal to be dealt with. You can decide to come to a hearing in person. This will give you the chance to deal with any questions or issues that come up."
