CB ESA want to move to IB ESA was created by cc
Ok I am on contribution based ESA.

I migrated from IB, was put in WRAG but moved to SG after appeal.

I have now found out if I was on income based I would also be getting enhanced disability premium payments. Since I have lost a lot of my housing benefit (due to under 35s rule) these would help me greatly as currently half of my ESA is going to rent.

The DWP however say I cannot move over and because I am on CB based ESA thats where I have to stay.

So others know and dont need to ask.

I have no other income.
I have no savings.
I live on my own.
I am of working age 34 years old.

There should be no need for you to switch to ESA(IR) as it should be possible to for you to receive it as a top-up to your existing ESA(CB) providing that the amount payable for ESA(IR) is greater than what you are receiving on ESA(CB).

I note you were transferred from IB, are you receiving a Transitional Payment as this may make it impossible for you to receive ESA(IR)?

Get face to face to advice from an advisor who can look at your total financial situation and work out what you could be receiving, they will also be able to advise you on approaching the DWP.
