Voluntary work whilst on I/R ESA wrag group.

Please can I ask about doing voluntary work, when claiming I/R ESA ? I am in the WRAG GROUP, and currently attending a series of work focased interviews, with the disability advisor at the Jobcentre.
I was dismissed on the grounds of incapability, due to ill-health, 2 yrs ago, from the NHS, after many yrs. I have severe rheumatoid arthritis. 56 yrs. I have shown interest in doing some voluntary work for Age UK. Be-friending - as this would allow me to sit and chat and get up every now and again, when I need relieve pain and stiffness. Any advice ?
