£10 Xmas Bonus. Has it been scrapped? was created by alfwithair58
Hi all

The wife recieves Income Related ESA (support group) and DLA HRM, LRC.

Is the £10 bonus no longer payable with any of the above benefits?

I just checked the last ESA award letter and it says
including xmas bonus £0.00.
DLA award letter doesn't mention it.
Always used to get it before the change from IB and sure we got it last year.

ESA was paid today, nothing extra paid
DLA not due till 24th Dec, but was nothing extra in last months payment

Anybody else not had anything?

There is a £10 christmas bonus that is paid for people who claim DLA and this hasn't been stopped, the qualifying benefits that are eligible for the christmas bonus are detailed in this link

www.gov.uk/christmas-bonus/eligibility

Income based ESA is not one of the eligible benefits.

So when did it stop being paid with IR ESA (support group) as its not on the list posted.

I just checked an old bank statement from Dec last year and it was paid first week in Dec with IR ESA.

So I presure we will not get it now till the next DLA payment on 24th of this month.

Bit of a waste of time on a xmas eve

To the best of my knowledge the Christmas Bonus is not paid with another benefit but as a separate payment, if you're on a benefit that qualifies the claimant to receive it.

Both my wife and I receive DLA and State Pension. Our Christmas Bonus of £10 each was paid to my wife last week and to me this week, as two separate payments and not added to our DLA or State Pension.

Hi Folks,

I have been a member of B&W for a few years now and I receive CB and IR ESA as well as DLA. Today I received my ESA and it appears that my £10 Christmas bonus was included, as my payment was £10 more than usual. So it appears that some of us are getting our Xmas bonus included with ESA and not as a separate payment. Hope this is of interest to those who haven't yet received theirs.
