Thanks to this site my partner has been awarded top rate on both mobility and care. The old DLA rate he was only on low rate care and high mobility.
My question is we claim carers for me as I also get high rate care but we have that already calculated into our benefits so in effect dont see any money. If I claim carers for my partner will our income increase or like before already factored in.

Hi J,
There is nothing to stop you claiming CA for providing care for your partner as long as the actions involved in you providing the minimum 35 Hours/Week care are not contradictory to your own awards.
I don't know your full circumstances, but if one or both of you are receiving ESA as well you may be entitled to The Severe Disability Premium (SDP) and The Carer Premium, rather than CA :
ESA Premiums
