After applying for PIP in February and having my face to face assessment at the end of april, I received my decision today.

I was quite surprised to have been awarded more than I expected - higher rate Daily living which I expected but also standard rate mobility which I didn't expect (based on her observations of me at the medical). I had put that my mobility was variable depending on how I was on a particular day with approximate percentages.
My assessor said that I couldn't reliably and safely walk more than 50metres as I was unsteady and used the walls when I walked to the room…I do this without thinking but didn't think it would count towards being safe. Just shows you that the 'safely and reliably' part can work in your favour.

I also received the assessment report. It stated that I didn't accept the depth of my limitations and underplayed my illnesses !! I was awarded points for mobility due to her observations of me walking.

I am very grateful to this site as it helped me fill out my form with a focus on my limitations and not my illnesses. I have also been put into the SG for ESA.

Congratulations on the award, it's comforting to know that some assessors are doing their jobs properly.
