I phoned them this morning to let them know that my PIP2 and evidence had arrived on Monday 23rd, and made sure they took the reference number and who'd signed for it, and added that to my case file. The lady I spoke to said that their internal mail system at Wolverhampton was 'very slow' and hadn't been put up on their, or ATOS systems yet; and gave me an extention to 16th December to be on the safe side. She said that 'on average' it took 16 weeks for F2F letters to be sent out, but there were 'local variations that were a lot faster'.

Despite the DWP now allegedly scanning all documents on receipt so that they can be electronically and immediately transferred to the relevant department we haven't seen any significant improvement in turn around times.

Hi Gordon
I suspected that those on the end of the phone at the PIP help line had an 'official script' to stick to, and it was a case of 'sameold/sameold' , LOL!
