regarding PIP form was created by samty
Hello

I just received the "dreaded" letter for changing my indefinite DLA
(HRC/HRM) into PIP.
Can you tell me how long it takes to receive the PIP2 forms after
starting the claim (phone call) and how much time do they give me to fill it out?

I should phone DWP before the 29th October, but I have an
important Appointment at the Rheumatology clinic, to discuss my MRI scan etc.
exact on this day.
I really like to include the results into my claim.

Thank you for your hard work and for your very good advice.
Would be lost without it......

The PIP2 for should take no more than 10-14 days from when you start the claim.

You will have four weeks to complete the form, however it is often less if the form takes a while to get to you, you can request a two week extension if it is excessively delayed.

The phone call to start your PIP claim needs to be made before the deadline or your DLA payments will be suspended and your DLA claim will be closed if you have not started a claim within four weeks of the phone deadline, If suspended, then any outstanding payments will be paid once a claim is started.

The initial phone call only captures basic information about you and your health conditions so I don't believe that your appointment will be relevant to starting the claim, obviously you would want to include any letter or report with your PIP2, but again, if you do not return the form on time, then your PIP claim will be closed and your DLA one four weeks later, so don't delay sending it back even if you have not received the letters.

I posted my PIP 2 forms ca 3 weeks ago.

How long can I expect to wait before I get the letter with
the f2f appointment?

Would it be better to call them to make sure that they received my forms?

Thanks

Based on what we have seen in the forum, it seems to be either within a couple of weeks or a lot longer, I would start by contacting the DWP to confirm that your form was received, they can also tell whether they have passed it on to an Assessment Provider (AP), you can then chase ATOS or Capita as applicable.

Capita
