As the information is second hand, I'm going to go from scratch.
There is no requirement for her to claim AA.
If she has not been invited to claim PIP then her DLA claim will continue providing she continues to meet the criteria, past the age of 65 and she doesn't need to take any action for this to happen.
If, as your second post indicates, she has now been invited to claim PIP then she can do this even if she is now over the age of 65, the PIP Transitional Regulations cover a claimant doing this.
The information provided by the DWP is wrong whatever the situation.
