When does your benefits get taken away

Hello guys.
A few weeks ago, my wife received the brown envelope 'inviting' her to apply for PIP.
She is 68 and at present gets DLA at high rate and Motability at high rate.
She has a Motability car.
My son is her full-time carer and he receives Carers Allowance.
He had already subscribed to the Benefits and Work website and using the information in the site he downloaded the PIP workbook.
We filled in the form to the best of our ability with the advice of the workbook.
She has her interview this Monday with Atos in Glasgow.
Now, I have some questions for you guys and maybe you could help me with some answers.
The worse case scenario is that she loses all of her benefits and it goes to appeal.
Will it be this:

Does her benefits stop immediately after the interview.
If her benefits stop, how soon after that is the Motability car taken away.
Does the Carers Allowance stop immediately after the interview.

or could it be this:

Does she keep her DLA and Motability up to an appeal.
Can she keep her Motability car up to an appeal.
Is Carers Allowance kept up to an appeal.

This is a worrying time for us and I would be grateful for all help.
Thanx

Hi
If you lose the high rate mobility you have four weeks before you return the car.
If you lose the higher rate help your carers will stop at the same time as the DLA.
The DLA pays one more payment after the decision.
I think it is very unfair and contrary to law to take the car whilst an appeal is ongoing. If you win the appeal there is no way to compensate you for the loss of the car.
Someone needs to take this issue to court and get a proper legal opinion on whether this is unlawfully dscriminating.
