Question to group with regards to PIP help

I was with him last 9 years ago but moved home, he wrote back and said he does not any longer have my medical records, and its down to my new GP to write about me when I change from DLA to Pip, and that all of the medical problems he found out are on record, and that the new GP should refer to those as well as his own findings. He added he sees no reason with regards to my medical problems why I would not get a Pip at same level as my DLA.
Am I correct in thinking, because I read it, that were allowed to have any health professional whom we deem to know us the best with regards to our medical problems giving a report that we can use with our Pip claim. Or am I not, thanks for your thoughts on this

It's your choice as to who you put on the form, but based on the response your old GP has made to your request, I would not use them on the form, they will simply repeat what they have told you if contacted by the Assessment Provider.
