PIP. Home assesment & partner attending

Hi Glad its all over for you! Im just waiting for my app They called me the other day made the app but because I asked for the meeting to be recorded she cancelled it and said she will call me back again for a person who is willing to be recorded!!! so I lie in wait. But i to are also very nervous about it!

Well it's not quite over yet, but it's closer to being so.

I've just recieved a text message to my mobile from the DWP. I says " We have recieved your request to look at your decision again. There is no need to contact us as we are looking at this now".

Should I leave it at that or get in touch with them in a week any how?

Ok

I've just had the M/R decision letter this morning, letter dated 28 April.

They have decided not to change a thing, all the descriptors have been kept the same, so total of 9 points for daily living, 12 points for mobility.

The two areas I disputed mainly, which were help with therapy & managing incontinence have not really been discused, ie they have not actually stated why they do not agree with my dispute of their descriptor award. All they say is the desicion is based on observations and evaluations made at my face to face by the assesor.

So do I go to appeal or not? Rhetorical question question really. I know the desicion is mine, but any advice given will be gratefully recieved. Am I right in thinking any payments will be suspended if I decide to, and also during, any appeal?

Try not to be too disheartened, the MR seldom does anything other than 'rubber stamp' the original decision
