DLA to PIP timetable disappearance! ! was created by John Raymond
Many DLA claimants on indefinite awards are no doubt wondering when they will be contacted to apply for PIP.
There used to be an official government time table detailing a time line of dates regarding the rollout of DLA to PIP.
This was useful as it gave some indication to claimants as to when they were likely to be contacted at least within a time frame/limit.l This timetable has now been withdrawn .Does anybody know why or is there another place where you can find it.
Has it been updated maybe?
With Capita and other companies in virtual meltdown now regarding their ineptitude to honour their contractual agreements with the DWP ,where can one find an update of figures indicating current backlogs of DLA to PIP assessments,/new claims.
Is there regional variation?
Does anyone know where one can find this information.
Finally with a change of government very likely before Christmas, what effects might this have on the process .
Good luck everyone

Nothing has changed since you last raised this question or any of the five times before that!

Claimants are still being chosen at random, there is no timetable of when claimants will be invited to claim PIP, all parts of the country are now live.

There is no evidence to suggest that Capita or ATOS are in "virtual meltdown", members are reporting that assessments are being booked, in the vast majority of cases, within a couple of weeks of their PIP2s being returned.

I am not award of any backlog in the process, there are certainly no official documents that suggest this.

At this time I cannot see any reason why a change of Prime Minister and Cabinet would have any impact on the process.

Cheers Gordon,
Claimants still being chosen "at random "in all areas ?
Interesting as the DWP originally said that they
"Would be looking first at those claimants on indefinite DLA who had Turned 65 after April 2013"
DWP must have changed tack then hey.
Also pilot regions where random selection was done ,followed by all other regions must have now given way to radom selection across the whole country then ?
The process of course is anything but random.
The DWP are selecting for example those who have been on DLA since its inception,or those who have now turned 65 since 2013..The real reason why the original DWP timetable has been
made "unavailable "is because there is ,little or no chance that it is likely to be realised.
This is why many claimants of DLA have been reviewed and their claims extended to 2019 and beyond irrespective of PIP.
Re ATOS and CAPITA.
My understanding is that they have had an ICT "crisis"and have shed, lots of staff, recently.
The Channel 4 programme exposing these companies for what they are has also caused "difficulties"for them apparently.
We will have a new government before Christmas ,and whether the new Minister for Work and Pensions further reforms the Welfare system awaits to be seen.
Cleary the current "random selection "of claimants means in effect that it will take maybe a decade or more to convert to PIP.
Even if ATOS et al could process 1800 claims a day ,it would still take 7 years to sort it.
The whole thing is a joke, except that is for the thousands of people who have suffered so far
Let's see what the new Prime Minister Mr.Michael Gove will do about it,after the General Election before Christmas
Keep it real Y'all
I do
