esa descriptors was created by linda francis803
I have been claiming ESA contributory since I was awarded it at appeal in 2012.
the appeal was allowed on the following;-
Schedule 2 descriptor satisfied 18(c) and 19 (b)
Schedule 3 activity satisfied 10(c)
can anyone tell me what these are as the descriptors I have managed to find do not have these numbers
I have now been invited to attend a further medical assessment after completing a new ESA50 in march of this year and really need to know what the descriptors were. Also am I right in thinking that old rules will apply to me with respect to any new decisions on my claim.

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ

My full name is showing, how can I stop it?

18(c) and 19(b) do not correspond to any of the Descriptors which only go up to 17. Is it possible that your original claim pre-dates March 2011, if it does then

18 Getting about.
(c)For the majority of the time is unable to get to a specified place with which the claimant is familiar without being accompanied by another person. 9 points

19 Coping with social situations
(b)Normal activities, for example, visiting new places or engaging in social contact, are precluded for the majority of the time due to overwhelming fear or anxiety.

10. Personal action
(c) Fails to initiate or sustain basic personal action without requiring daily verbal prompting given by some else in the claimant’s presence, owing to a severe disorder of mood or behaviour.

The problem is that these Descriptors no longer exist in this format although there are equivalents to all three. You need to have a look at the ESA Claim guides to see what would be applicable.

To be clear, you will be assessed under the current ESA Regulations

If you have further questions then please reply to this post and we will do our best to help.
