Carers Allowance and the State Pension are overlapping benefits so only the highest paying benefit will be paid, I would expect this to be the pension. She will retain and underlying entitlement to the CA, so if you are receiving Pension Credit then you should be able to the Carer Addition.

Thank you for your reply I understand the overlapping benefits part of the answer it is the second sentence I do not quite understand. I do receive Pension Credit (not guaranteed) at £10.88 per week. My wife will be entitled to a full pension when she retires so will the Pension Credit stop altogether?

When she receives the State Pension they will reassess whether you should continue to receive Pension Credit, if you do then you should continue to receive the Carers Addition.
