HCP's Identification and registration at F2F

A recent UT case seems, although the Appellant lost their case for other reasons , to give a right for a Claimant to ask ft see the HCP's entry in the relevant Health Professional Register.

The NMC and GMC registers give the date that the HCP first qualified (or re-qualified after a break ). So the Assessment provider offering to show the HCP's register entry for Doctors& Nursesis all that is needed.

However

The HCPC register only gives the date of current registration update which can be less than Two Years which is significant because the law states that a HCP must have Two years post registration experience.

Therefore does this mean that it would be acceptable for a claimant to request proof of this post qualification experience without being deemed as "Failing to participate in an assessment"?

Your reasoning makes sense and I don't think I would, or advise any one, to risk having the F2F terminated by insisting on the HCP providing access to their Registered Record.

However I would expect the Receptionist will know which HCP as been assigned to your F2F so asking them for the HCP name and Profession then checking register by Mobile phone internet access would not cause a problem that could be regarded as failing to participate.

If they refuse this information a complaint to the assessment provider and a complaint to your MP would be in order because the claimant must jump through hoops to prove identity so only fair you know HCP's registration details.
