I am a new member to this forum and have found the information very helpful. I have my Face to Face Assessment next week and am seeking advice on the following.
My Veterans Agency Welfare Officer completed the forms for me but going through my copy I realised I had not mentioned that I use the bed to sit on when dressing and in the shower a long handled sponge and toe cleaner. Also I have just been diagnosed with B12 deficiency and have another medicine to take. My GP is very supportive and is giving me a letter later this week. I have also found letters from Consultants going back a few years.
My question is - can I send this as additional information to the DWP and take a copy of this to my Assessment?
My advice would be to do exactly as you have suggested in your post.
The DWP letter needs to be addressed to the office dealing with your claim, see the latest DWP letter you have for this, mark it for the attention of the "Decision Maker"
Assessors are told they need to accept new evidence on the day, to read it and include it in the claimants file.
