Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

The form will be administratively processed quite quickly, but there is considerable variation in the wait for an assessment across the country, from as little as a few weeks, to months, to more than six months in some areas.

Had a letter now with an appointment in early March. Was t expecting it to be that quick, as if read and heard there was a big waiting time, or can be. This is less than a month. All the mind blowing that comes with the form was done once I'd sent it, now it's about this "assessment". The person I spoke with said she will come with me which is great, though my thinking was yo be that thorough that it would be clear on the form, even though you guys and she had both said as assessment would probably happen. The burnout from the meeting last week is still affecting and am feeling no perspective.
Any guides on this part now? Didn't expect it this quickly.

The ESA guide has a section towards the back that explains what to expect at the assessment.

The assessment is about a week away and mind is blown by it all. I have the Drs letter but is it ok to take on the day or will sending it off first be better as Iv heard sometimes the letter doesn't even get looked at?? In terms of evidence apart from the form I sent and myself (and the person coming with me) that is it. Have read your guide, do all of those questions get asked? Some of the things as with the form are not black and white in that way?
Also after the assessment how long is it generally before you hear what has gone on??

If you think that the GP letter might allow them to do a paper assessment then send it now, otherwise take it on the day and ask the assessor to read it and include it in your file before they start the interview.
You can request a copy of the assessment report a couple of days after the assessment.
Decision are taking about 2-4 weeks.
