DLA to PIP Tribunal Success! was created by Shirley Davies
Hi I an a new member but reading the success stories i I should have done it sooner. I applied for PIP but was unsuccessfully I asked for a reconsideration but still turned down. I am in the process of appealing. I became ill last August from being an active, working full time to being reliant on crutches and having to have my partner help me. The medical people are still trying to find out what is wrong I'm under a neurologist and am having a lot of tests as they say I have something going on in my nerve endings. I have extreme fatigue and I am unable to walk far before my legs become so weak I have to sit or ly down as it makes me feel very ill.

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ

My full name is showing, how can I stop it?

I've moved your post to it's own topic, we ask members not to post their questions in others topics as it can lead to the wrong advice being given or taken.

The PIP MR & Appeal guide has links to the SSCS1 that you will need to complete and instructions on how to complete the form, at this stage you do not have to go into detail about why you are appealing.

I would recommend that you go back through your PIP, the assessment report (if you do not have this then it will be sent as part of the appeal) and the PIP Claim guide to ensure that you have shown that you meet the criteria to score points.

Be aware some of the Descriptors have multiple elements and you need to meet all of them to score points.

Finally make sure you have made use of "reliably" and "on the majority of days" wherever appropriate.
