It's worth taking an extension lead with you to the assessment centre as well as the tape recorders. They plugged mine in quite far from where we were talking. I can hear the assessor very clearly as she was facing towards them whereas I am very faint and it's difficult to work out what I said at times. There weren't enough sockets on the desk to plug them in nearer to us.
