Hi,
I would just like to hear from anyone whose done a mandatory recondiseration for pip and had success or any outcome really.
I sent mine over 3 weeks ago and had an acknowledgement letter a week later. So everyday waiting on the brown envelope as you can imagine!! I'm not confident as I know the success rate isn't great but I would just like to hear of anyone else's experience with this. How long did you wait to hear ect.

Hi K,
Other members are most welcome to respond if they wish.
MR's should take between 4-8 weeks, however there is no time limit on how long an MR can take.
We do not have that many successful MR's reported by members.
If you scroll through the forum pages any topics with a red heart icon by them are a success story so you could browse those.

MR's should take between 4-8 weeks, however there is no time limit on how long an MR can take.

My wife recieved her initial decision on 11/1/17. We went through MR and tribunal and recieved Upheld appeal decision this week. a total of 11 weeks for the whole process

I received my original decision on the 17th. Applied straight away for MR and the letter was received by DWP on 21st, decision was made within 24 hours. Still unchanged so off to appeal I go.
The first letter had discrepancies about the strength etc in my lower limbs. I challenged this.
The MR states I told the assessor that I used my lower limbs to drive the car so I must have some strength in them. As I have a hand controlled vehicle there is a metal plate covering the pedals so even if I wanted to use my legs I physically couldn't!!.
They also didn't send a copy of the ATOS assessment as I requested which makes me question their judgements. I am awaiting this now but will probably have to put appeal in without it as they said it could take 3 weeks to reach me.
I hope you have more success than me but I do believe they are just hoping people will give up challenging them. Good luck with your claim

My PIP MR only took 2 weeks! I am now going to tribunal. My MR appeal gave me just 2 extra points. Nowhere near what I was getting before on my first PIP.

I usually advise member to be cautious of dealing with the issues in the report as they rarely lead to an award, but this is an example where I would tackle the report head on in regard to this issue.
That said, you only receive an award by showing that you score the points for one, so make sure that you have done this adequately on your original PIP2.
