Tribunal in a few days was created by 741tan
I'm getting really anxious now the tribunal is getting close, it's taken 9 months to get this far and I feel as though the pressure is becoming more and more. I've got severe OCD and depression, the OCD being one of the main contributers to my I'll health. I'm on 5 different medications ranging from antidepressants to sedatives to help me through each day.
I got 0 points for both components and I feel it is unfair. What is the best way to organise myself ready for the tribunal, my OCD makes my life hell, should I focus on the OCD for each activity? Like washing and bathing takes me up to an hour because of rituals, getting dressed becomes a lengthy affair because I get scared that people have tampered with my clothing, I don't eat anything that isn't in a packet because of paranoia it's been tampered with etc. also my OCD means I have to clean cutlery and plates again and again.
Has my OCD issue got enough weight behind it for the tribunal to see it for how harrowing it is for me on a daily basis, will I have state that I can't do most activities based on the huge length of time it takes me? This applies to every activity from eating to going to the toilet.... So what I'm asking is how is the best way to tackle the tribunal with OCD, just tell them the truth of how it's like for me day to day and hope they believe me?

I did not register the date of your hearing on your previous posts, have you prepared a submission and sent it to the Tribunal Service?
If you haven't then it is almost certainly too late to do so as your information needs to be with the TS no later than seven days before the hearing.
If you suffer from OCD then you need to think about your ability to complete the activities reliably and in particular within a reasonable time period and to a necessary standard, repeatability may also be an issue but not in the traditional sense.
All I can say is for you to go back through your PIP2 and the PIP Claim guide to make sure that you can explain why you should meet the criteria for an award.

I've sent nothing to the tribunal
will this affect my chances even if I explain my disabilities? Ive given up a few times during this gruelling process and now I'm worn out.... Is it best that I go through my PIP2 form and write down explanations for each descriptor? Then take that sheet with me into the tribunal? Have people successfully gained PIP from OCD? Thanks Gordon.

It does mean that the Decision will hang on your testimony during the hearing.
It is certainly worth your making some notes about the issues that you have but you need to be aware that Tribunals lack structure in the sense that they are unlikely to start with Preparing Food and then working their way down the list.
There's no reason why you should not receive an award for your OCD but as I explained in my previous post you will need to look at why you cannot complete the activities reliably.
